Q: I'm looking for input on morning sickness. What did it feel like, what kind (nausea, vomitting, upset stomach....), and when did you notice it? Before or after AF was due.
A: 1st Pregnancy - no sickness whatsoever 2nd - vomiting for about 3 days and feeling queasy for about a week at I think 6 weeks This pregnancy - intense nausea that would frequently wake me up during the night, constantly feeling queasy, a little weak and shaky, only vomited once although ran out of work one day into the driveway and was about to be sick in the garden when I realised there were people standing at the end and had to try and swallow it!!!! Just wanted to lay in bed all day. This time lasted from 6 wks to about 13 weeks. So not up with all the abbreviations on this forum - so don't know what AF is sorry. I'm sure it'll be something embarrassingly obvious!
A: My first pregnancy- I was sick as a dog beginning early 2nd month, nausea, vomiting, even vomiting water, lost weight before gaining weight, no apetite, weak Second-beginning feeling sick 2nd month, nausea and vomiting, tired Third- beginning feeling sick at about 6 weeks, nausea, everything smelled bad, vomiting, vomiting, vomiting. Fourth-miscarried at 11 weeks, But I didnt care for my favorite foods. they began tasting different. I only got nausea, but no vomiting. Foods began smelling bad. Foods just tasted different. I was bloated pretty bad beginning 6 weeks
Q: I have had my Mirena since the beginning of 2011..i am having it removed tomorrow..its been HELL having this in me..so much pain all the time. my husband and I will be trying to conceive after its removed. my questions are: a. does the removal hurt? b. after it is removed...if I get pregnant right away I have heard about women miscarrying and I would like to know if its associated with mirena. c. did anyone gain like 30-40 lbs and just cannot lose it on this mirena?? I have and I have been atkins dieting the entire 2 years! haven't lost a pound! hope it comes off after removal!
A: I had the mirena for over a year and hated it. I bled for 4 months straight and was really uncomfortable to have sex. I swear I could feel it and my husband could also feel it so it was a turn off. I remember having a hard time getting weight off while having the mirena and after i got it removed pounds and the water weight came off pretty easily. Having it removed didn't hurt at all. I went right back to work. As for conceiving I don't know because I went straight on the pill afterwards. My husband and I weren't exactly ready for #2 at that time. Good luck to you! :)
A: I had a terrible experience with mirena. I had it removed summer of 2010. got pregant immediately but lost it at 8 weeks.. we were devastated. then 3 more early miscarriages before ending up finding out I had a tumor on my ovary the size of an orange. I believe it caused that large tumor on my ovary. tried to get pregnant for years. was so old I gave up. now at 46 am 9 weeks preg naturally. we shall see how it goes! good luck to you a.d I suggest you have a thorough exam prior to trying to conceive...
Q: ok, so i have the mirena for three years now. and i feel like i am pregnant. ever since i have the mirena i have had some what "regular" periods. they usually are about 5-7 days and then light pink discharge for another 4-5 days(i haven't been the biggest fan of the mirena because it has cause a lot of infections.) a couple months ago i was put on an antibiotic and while i was on it, i had unprotected sex. ever since oct. i have been having very light and short periods, headaches, soar breasts and my nipples have gotten larger and some nausea. i did not have any sickness with my first pregnancy so i am pretty confused as to what is going on. i have taken about 12 pregnancy tests and they have all said negative. i even went to the dr last week and they took a urine sample and said i wasn't pregnant. they didn't do blood work or anything. one thing that came to me last night was i didn't realize was pregnant the first time until i was 9 weeks. if i became pregnant when i think i did, i would be 12 wks. my questions is has anyone ever gotten pregnant on the mirena and if so, did they take a pregnancy test and it said negative a few times before they had a positive?? i am wondering if the hormones in my birth control are throwing off the pregnancy tests?
Q: I haven't had a period after mirena removal for 2.5 months. I had it in for two years. I had a regular period before the mirena and during the mirena it changed to light spotting to none. I'm concerned because it's been 2.5 months and I had half a day of spotting and nothing after the first month. Should I be concerned? Consult a doctor? I've researched and found a percentage of women continue with irregular periods for 1+ years. I would like to start a family and am concerned
A: It's not unusual to have an absent period after you take out the mirena. Sometimes it can take time to get back on a normal schedule. If you still don't have a period after 6 months then go back to your ob/gyn and request additional blood work to check your hormone levels.
Q: so i got merina in October of 2009 and at first a bleed for like a month and now i only have a period for like 3 days and they are light. but i get pains now in my stomach and i think i could be pregnant ... idk if thats possible but my boobs are tender and the pains sometimes hurt and i been gaining weight so i need answers please ....
A: yes it's possible to get pregnant on mirena. take an hpt. if it's positive call your ob asap and let him/her know so they can remove the mirena. from what i understand most mirena pregnancies do end in miscarriage BUT i've also read that a lot of women have carried the pregnancy full term to have 100% healthy babies. i had the mirena for 16 months and i HATED it. the only good thing was a 3 day period. other than that...i was miserable. i was depressed, loosing my hair, moody, cranky, had HORRIBLE acne break outs and gained 45 lbs. I've been off mirena for almost 3 months and my hair is growing back, no more acne and i've lost 15 lbs. : o) granted my side affects only happen to about 5% of women but....it was still miserable.
Q: I started my peroid but it is very light. I've always had a normal peroid. I have already taken 2 pregnancy test and they are both negative. I have also recently changed my eating habits and have lost weight. I am also taking a diet pill and i am just worried that I could be pregnant. I am so stressed out thinking about it.
A: It's very common for many women's periods to fluctuate between normal, heavy and light. I never had a clue what mine were going to do, so every month was like a really fun surprise! I don't know how long you've been having your periods, but it does take some time for our bodies to settle into some sort of "routine," even if that routine, like mine, is a bit of a "non-routine." If you've been having periods for a number of years that haven't changed, and now you are having a light one, I don't think it's anything to get concerned about. You've also taken two pregnancy tests which have been negative, so we can rule that out. Changing your eating habits could possibly affect your periods, as could losing some weight. Taking a diet pill concerns me. There are so many on the market and I really don't know much about them, so I would urge you to discuss using them with your doctor. It's possible there is something in them that might affect your cycle.......I just don't know. My advice would be to wait until your next period and see what that was is like. As long as you feel OK between now and then, this light period could just be a normal variation of your flow. But.........if you begin to have cramps, bleeding between periods or fever, see your gynecologist immediately. (The home pregnancy tests on the market today are exactly the same one's used at doctor's offices, so after two negatives, if THAT is your main concern, I don't think you have anything to worry about) If you don't trust them, have one done at the doctors). Q: I'm 17 and have the Mirena. I've heard it is the best form of birthcontrol, but after almost a year of having it, I've gained major weight, acne, moodiness, and pretty much all the sideffects that come with the Mirena. I'm wondering if it is because I haven't had a child yet and the Mirena is mainly for mothers, or do I just have really crappy luck. Please let me know. I'm thinking of getting a different birthcontrol... Any suggestions? The weight gain is what is really killing me. Thanks.
A: Did you gain any weight? Because I have a terrible metabolism, but I workout all the time. The weight just doesn't come off with the mirena.
A: i was on mirena as well and had the same things happen. i switched to tro-cyclen low and that helped alot better
Q: Hello Im a first time mom and my future husband doesnt want us to get preganat just yet. Im not really sure what to do since i want nothing do with depo and i cant seem to remember to take the pill. Ive heard and read some really bad review about mirena.
A: I had it for 4 years, no issues light periods were nice, I had mine removed in jan in mid of my cycle so my first period was light and I got pregnant but lost my angel last week. It wasn't because of mirena because the doctor told me my lining was thicken and normal for my pregnancy stage. Once I get pregnant and deliver my baby I am etheir getting paraguard the copper or mirena again. Some people have issues some don't. Good luck
A: I had mine in for 2 years and hated every day of it I would cramp all month and sometimes have 2 periods a month and it was painful during sex and just a horrible experience I got it taken out nov 5th and 15 days later got pregnant I would not recommend it. I would go with the shot!
Q: So I'm 9 weeks and the morning sickness has got the best if me I'm so exhausted from throwing up all the time I'm just tired of being sick
A: I wish I could tell you it gets better but with my two first pregnancies I suffered from morning sickness the entire nine months I vowed I'd never get pregnant again. I don't want to jinx myself but I'm 7 weeks pregnant and no morning sickness.I heard eating small meals as well as ginger and peppermint can help sipping lemon water too. My biggest fear was the amount of weight gain because I couldn't keep anything down I only gained 12 pounds with my son in 16 with my daughter hopefully you're doing better than I did. Good luck.
A: I had morning sickness really bad during my first trimester. I was in the bed for about 3 weeks feeling more nauseous than anything. I didn't do much vomiting but I was so nauseous that I was almost praying I would vomit. After going to the doctor he gave me a prescription for some medication that stopped both the vomiting and nauseous feeling less than 24 hours and I haven't experience nauseous and vomiting every since.
Q: every morning starting on monday i wake up i feel so nausea and i eat a little but feel more nausea i don't think its morning sickness because im not pregnant if i was it would be too soon to have morning sickness what do you think it is?
A: Need a little more information - do you have any other symptoms? You also need to consider stress levels, any eating habits, could be something didn't agree with your stomach(or bad food), cold/viral ..... I assume you are not on birth control or an IUD (Mirena etc...) since you mentioned not being pregnant. Sometimes hormone levels shift and that causes nausea.
A: i dont think it something i ate every morning i feel sick and didnt eat anything yet so i think i might be pregnant but wont know till i miss my period which should come next week
