One Tube Left

I posted a question a few months ago about my recurrent m/c. Well I had another about two months ago and it resulted in a tubal pregnancy which ruptured; so I lost my right tube. We have been trying for 3 yrs. I have had 5 m/c. Now, my RE recommends IVF; she thinks that is the only way I would get pregnant. But, I didn't have a problem getting pregnant at all with or w/o meds. It just keeping the pregnancy. I would always m/c before my 6 wks. The funny thing is I have two children and my husband has a son. Both from previous relationships. But, none together. We have had every test under the sun. I just don't know what to do now. Is that something wrong? Are we missing something? I'm alittle (alot) afraid of going thru with IVF. PLEASE HELP... I don't know what is wrong with me.

we are twins with almost the same exact story. i too just lost my right tube 2 weeks ago and that made 6 m/c's i the past 2 years (7 total). we do have a 4yo ds and i also have another from previous. been married 7 1/2 years and ttc almost the whole time. all testing shows nothing but the surgery for the ectopic showed alot of scar tissue in the uterus. going for follow up tommorrow and will ask if that is a strong possibility of why all the losses. same here with easy to get pg but never have made it past 6 wks. well good luck and God Bless!

I am a lefty too! The first time I got pregnant (with IUI) resulted in an ectopic with tubal ruputure, so they had to remove my right tube. My RE strongly recommended IVF because apparently I have a very high chance of a recurring ectopic. The reason he recommended IVF is because they place the best quality embryo directly in the uterus, minimizing the risk of m/c. I am now in the midst of my first IVF and it is expensive, with lots of meds, but gives the best chance of success, so hopefully it is all worth it. Good luck and SSBD to you.
